The band has been a long-time international favorite with open-minded European crowds and the failure of their newest album "So Divided" to chart in any major European country seems unlikely to phase that standing among their legions of loyal fans.  Part-time drummer and frontman Jason Reece spoke to the Birmingham Mail about the tour shortly after his arrival in the second city.  "Yeah man, glad to be back.  Even though everyone is totally jetlagged we're all excited about this tour.  We didn't have much practice time before the tour seeing as half the band lives in New York, but I'm sure we'll get our regular tight sound back after a couple shows.  We've got some great bands along with us this time [better than the last few tours], so it should make for a good solid show.  I mean, I've never actually heard of any of them but Conrad tells me they're pretty good."

Reece casually laughed off suggestions that the highly publicized Anti-Jason Reece Club's threats of violence could plague the tour and drive away possible attendees.  "I don't worry about [stuff] like that anymore.  It doesn't bother me.  They're just a bunch of crazy kids making threats.  I don't think our fans would stay home because someone is out there making threats against their lives, especially seeing as it's our first time back in two years.  A little violence never scared me off a rock show.  Besides, I'm not afraid to give my life for something I believe in.  You've gotta die sometime, right?"

Trail of Dead's tour of Europe winds through the United Kingdom and mainland Europe during the months of February and March, ending with the band's first ever show in Athens, Greece on March 16th.
